George Sabo is working on collections excavated in 1991 from the Opello Site (3CN213) by retired Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department archeologist John Miller. Miller excavated a house structure at Opello that is very similar to those we have dug at 3YE25, and the associated artifact assemblage is also similar. The Opello Site material is an important assemblage that will contribute much to our understanding of intersite variability among Carden Bottoms phase sites.
