Osage Nation
Dr. Andrea Hunter serves along with Sabo and Lockhart as a project co-principle investigator. She received a Ph.D. in Anthropology in 1992 from the University of Colorado, Boulder. After serving for 20 years on the Anthropology faculty at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where she attained the rank of Professor, Dr. Hunter joined the Historic Preservation Office of the Osage Nation in 2007, where she serves as the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer. She is also a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. Dr. Hunter brings an extensive range of skills to the project, including specializations in archaeogeophysics, materials research, and indigenous cultural resource management. Osage advisors for this project include Ms. Anita Fields and Ms. Kathryn Redcorn. Dr. Hunter is also assisted by Ms. June Carpenter. |
