A gift to the Arkansas Archeological Survey helps preserve the past for the future, and supports programs and initiatives in site documentation, preservation, and interpretation of our rich—and increasingly threatened—archeological heritage.
Supporting the Arkansas Archeological Survey is easy:
One Time Gifts:
Call us today at 479-575-6375, email us at gifts@uark.edu, or click on our DONATE button. And thank you for your generous support!
Ongoing Support:
Making a monthly gift is an easy way to create a big impact with a small recurring donation. Keep your eyes peeled here for opportunities to give monthly, or email us at gifts@uark.edu to find out more.
Employer Matching Gifts:
Double your impact through matching gifts! Many employers will match the charitable gifts of their employees. Gifts of Stock:
You can also support the Arkansas Archeological Survey through gifts of stock. By policy gifts of stock will be sold at time of acceptance and the proceeds used to support the Survey’s programs.
Gifts of appreciated stock may be a particularly attractive option to support the Arkansas Archeological Survey; by donating appreciated stock you may be able to avoid capital gains tax on any growth in the value of the stock since you bought it. Gifts of appreciated stock held for at least a year may be deductible up to 30% of your adjusted gross income; please talk with your financial advisor and philanthropic experts at the UA Foundation to see if this option is right for you.
Donation of Required Annual IRA Distributions:
One of the simplest and most effective ways to support the Arkansas Archeological Survey is through a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA--and if you are 70 ½ year of age or older and own an IRA, you may make a direct transfer of all or some of your annual required minimum distribution (RMD) without including the withdrawal in your adjusted gross income.
Simply contact your IRA provider and tell them you would like to initiate a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) to the Arkansas Archeological Survey, 2475 N. Hatch Ave., Fayetteville AR 72704. To further simplify matters we can provide you with a sample letter which you can customize and send to your IRA provider to initiate a QCD. Contact us at gifts@uark.edu for more details.

Donor Advised Funds:
Some donors may prefer to arrange gifts to the Survey through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF). Your wealth management advisor can help you create a DAF to streamline your philanthropic giving, or assist you in adding the Survey as a recipient of gifts from an existing DAF.
Legacy Gifts:
One of the highest-impact ways to support the Arkansas Archeological Survey is through a legacy gift. Legacy Gifts are lasting memorials and testaments to your values and vision.
By including the Survey in your estate planning you can help protect the past for the future, and ensure that future generations better understand and value their heritage.
