WRI Research Station, March 5, 2016

On March 5th, from 11am until 2pm, the Arkansas Tech Anthropology Club hosted their annual Archeology Day. WRI station archeologist Emily Beahm was on hand and brought show and tell artifacts to the event, as well as a couple sets of toil sticks the students enjoyed playing with. Mike Evans and Jared Pebworth came to the event as well, bringing artifact replicas they had made. Mike demonstrated flintknapping for the students. Skip Stewart-Abernathy also came by to lend his archeological expertise to the event. The Anthropology Club provided a cordage-making activity for interested visitors to try.
